Simon leads Analysys Mason’s research programmes on Fixed Infrastructure and Data Centres. He also directs its Sustainable Networks and Energy Infrastructure research. He has 30 years’ experience in technology industry analysis, including 17 years running his own business writing about and advising on innovations in the telecoms, energy and clean tech sectors. Simon is fascinated by how technology has changed the world, and enjoys trying to understand how things will evolve in future. His current areas of focus include the evolution of broadband networks, investment in data centres and AI infrastructure, and analysis of demand for data centre interconnect solutions and services.
