Rana Khanafer, PhD is Senior Vice President of Telco Cloud at Orange International Networks, where she leads the strategy, design, deployment, and operations of Orange’s distributed Telco Cloud infrastructure, the foundation for next-generation, cloud-native network services.

With more than 20 years of experience across the Orange Group, Rana has led multicultural teams and large-scale transformation programs spanning telecommunications, cloud technologies, and digital innovation. She has driven major initiatives including fixed network evolution and the “Move to Cloud” program across 17 African countries, enabling the migration of critical digital services such as Orange Money to cloud-based environments.

Today, Rana is driving Orange’s transformation toward software-based, cloud-native networks, enabling greater automation, operational agility, and faster innovation across the connectivity ecosystem. A regular speaker at international industry events, she combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to help shape the future of Telco Cloud, AI-driven operations, and next-generation connectivity.
