Profile
Jürgen Wolf-Hofer brings two decades of telecom experience and leadership. As Lead of the Network domain at A1 Telekom Austria Group, he is responsible for the group-wide network technology agenda across seven operating companies, covering radio, fixed access, transport, core, telco cloud and OSS. In this role, he reports to the Group CTO and advises the Group CEO on technology strategy, operating model, vendor management, simplification and automation.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of Innsbruck and in his previous career worked as researcher at CERN in Geneva, the Universities of Innsbruck & Vienna, in management consulting and in financial services industry.
On Fixed Wireless Access he collaborates closely with country CTOs on technology strategy and performance, perceived and delivered service quality from customer perspective and fixed broadband economics.
