Profile

Herbert Flatscher has served as Managing Director of FiberEins GmbH since 2013, operating Open Access telecommunications networks in Austria. Together with his Dutch partner, he has been promoting and implementing the Wholesale Only business model across Europe. Since 2020, he has been leading the development of the Open Access ID (OAID) initiative, a new standard that is expected to significantly simplify Open Access processes in Austria. He also serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of OFAA. He is widely recognized as a leading player and, in many respects, a pioneer in the Austrian fiber-optic market.
