Dr. Albena Mihovska is the Chief Technology Officer of SmartAvatar B.V., The Netherlands and WG3 Chair of the one6G Association. She holds PhD degree in EEng (2008) from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark and has a strong academic research track record of more than 20 years, with positions as an Associate Professor at Aalborg University (2009-2017), Denmark and at Aarhus University, Denmark (2017-2023). Other positions: Vice-Chair of the Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway Jt Sec. Chap,NANO42; IEEE R8 Conference Coordination Committee Member, external liaison to SA IEEE 1955 “6G Empowering Robotics: Use Case Scenarios, Requirements, Architectural Impact, and Technical Assumptions”, and Board Member of the European Federation for XR Professionals (EUROMERSIVE) (https://euromersive.eu). Her research expertise is in AI-native wireless communication networks enabling digital twin and robotics applications across verticals. She has served on the Steering and Organizing Committees of several prominent IEEE events (e.g., IEEE BlackSeaCom, IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, IEEE WCNC). Albena Mihovska has authored and co-authored more than 160 publications, including several books and holds currently an h-index of 21.
