Professor Andy Sutton MBE is the Director of Technology and Mobile at Ofcom. He leads a team of engineers, technologists, data scientists, and policy experts who provide an internal technical consultancy capability across the broad range of technologies which impact on the sectors which Ofcom regulates. The mobile policy team is leading key work items to improve the quality of mobile connectivity across the UK. Prior to joining Ofcom, Andy spent 40 years working for network operators with a specific focus on wireless access; 4G LTE, 5G, Satellite, and point to point microwave radio systems.
