ETSI was created by CEPT to shape the foundations of modern telecommunications, developing globally agreed and widely used standards that have enabled interoperability, scale, and trust across networks. From 2G through 5G and beyond, ETSI has been at the heart of connecting people, systems, and industries worldwide.

Building on this legacy, ETSI has steadily expanded its scope to address the technologies defining the next digital era.
