The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) unites seven telecommunications standard development organizations (ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, TSDSI, TTA, TTC), providing their members with a stable environment to produce the Reports and Specifications that define cellular connectivity. 3GPP groups work on radio access, core network and service capabilities, which provide a complete system description for 3G, 4G, 5G and future 6G communications while also promoting interworking with other 3GPP or non-3GPP networks.
