Simone T. is a technology leader with over two decades of experience in mobile network evolution, from 2G to 5G, with a strong focus on AI-driven RAN architectures and the integration of cloud-native, virtualized network functions. His work bridges advanced RAN design with business and operational needs, supporting the deployment of scalable, intelligent, and energy-efficient network infrastructures.

He has been involved in major programs across EMEA, APAC, and North America, contributing to the adoption of Open RAN, vRAN, and AI-native orchestration frameworks. His expertise includes designing distributed RAN-cloud architectures, enabling automation across VNFs and CNFs, and exploring AI’s role in enhancing network performance, enterprise applications, and emerging 6G scenarios.

As part of the IPCEI-CIS initiative, Simone contributes to the development of strategic, sovereign cloud and network infrastructures in Europe, with a focus on orchestrated architectures, AI-powered service layers, and secure, scalable deployment models across industrial and cross-border use cases.

Simone brings a systems-level perspective on the evolution of the RAN, with a particular interest in the transformative potential of agentic AI and its application to real-world use cases.
