Ronan joined Orange UK in 1997 after Graduating with a MSc in Communication from Strathclyde University. He worked on emerging Radio technologies such as UMTS, Wi-Fi and WiMAX. Transferred to the Orange Research & Innovation division in 2004 in Paris, he was 3GPP RAN plenary delegate for Orange until 2007. Ronan has led several Orange projects on New Radio Technology including LTE for FWA in EMEA and recently LPWAN and Mobile IoT evaluation for the Group. In the IoT domain was member of the board of Directors of the LoRa Alliance from 2018 to 2022. He leads a transverse team in Orange Innovation dedicated to Specialised Radio Networks encompassing Mobile Private Networks, IoT Networks and NTN solution for new verticals of the industry.

Ronan is the Orange representative at the GSMA 5G IoT Strategy group and recently joined the steering committee of the GSMA NTN Community.
