Richard Riley is the Chief Customer Officer at Tuatahi First Fibre, one of New Zealand’s leading wholesale fibre network operators. With over 25 years in executive leadership, Richard has held senior roles across strategy, operations, marketing, and customer experience. He is known for driving growth through purposeful customer engagement and for building high-performing, values-led teams.
Richard is the Executive leading all market-facing activity at Tuatahi, including product, sales, brand, marketing, network growth, connections, revenue and customer care. His team consistently delivers some of the highest NPS scores in the country, reflecting a sharp focus on customer value and service quality. He is also a key architect behind Tuatahi’s major initiatives in digital equity, national fibre collaboration, and strategic commercial outcomes.
An advocate for continual learning, Richard holds a Master’s degree and has recently completed the Institute of Directors’ Chartered Member accreditation, now stepping into governance. Curious, commercially astute, and deeply committed to making a positive impact, Richard brings both insight and integrity to the table.
