Profile
Passionate about converged broadband networks and services, Manuel leads agile teams working on innovative 5G system features, software (including open source), hardware, and cloud technology, to enable the best digital service and network connectivity experience for customers, in all segments, across all access networks, and on all devices.
As part of his role at Deutsche Telekom Group Technology, Manuel serves in leadership positions at the Broadband Forum (BBF) and Linux Foundation Broadband (formerly ONF Broadband). He is a co-initiator and leader of the BBF Wireless-Wireline-Convergence (WWC) Work Area.
He has been a core member in DT's Access 4.0 engineering program building a cost-efficient, lean to operate and scalable access platform to deliver Gigabit products. He led the development and integration of the Access4.0 PON control solution and disaggregated access network hardware as Product Owner, with an international team of solution designers, software architects, developers, and testers, and the collaboration with the open source community.
In the past, he was also active in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
