Jose Antonio Martín Martínez, studied Telematics Engineering in Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and two master’s degrees, one in Telematics and the other in Telecommunications Engineering at the Carlos III University of Madrid.

Currently, He is responsible of Packet Core in CTIO, with special focus on 5G Core evolution. He has an essential role in defining the data core strategy for the Telefónica group, considering the main standards and vendors roadmap.

In line with that, he plays an essential role in supplier selection processes in key technologies for 5G evolution.

As Packet Core responsible, José Antonio is leading transversal projects such as Critical Networks or Edge Core, and also participates in different cross-area projects such as private networks, E2E slicing, network capabilities exposure for OpenGW or new projects around XR use cases.
