Fernando Guillot Gimeno

Fernando is a business leader with over 20 years of experience in the software industry and a solid background in technology and entrepreneurship. Currently working as Director for technical communities in the OpenGateway project for Telefónica.

He holds a Computer Science degree from the prestigious Pontifical University of Comillas (Madrid). Fernando held various strategic roles at Microsoft, last of which was leading the team that helped startups and independent software vendors grow and scale their businesses in Spain and Portugal. He also spearheaded the Data Tokenization project at Telefónica, which empowers customers to control and monetize their data. Before his current role Fernando drove the investment strategy and the creation of new startups from inside Wayra, the investment vehicle of Telefónica.

Fernando is passionate about exploring new technologies and markets, and is always looking for ways to create value for customers, partners, and society. He enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs and sharing his insights at industry events and podcasts.
