Dr. Kanwar Jit Singh is currently the Vice President of Technology at Tejas Networks, a global provider of wireline and wireless telecommunication products. He is part of the core team responsible for setting the company’s technology strategy and exploring new growth areas. He has been with Tejas Networks since 2005, driving multiple aspects of system architecture, product introduction, and innovation.
Prior to Tejas, Dr. Singh had a successful entrepreneurial stint in the United States. In 2000, he co-founded a startup in the US that worked to develop a high-capacity Core Router, which was acquired by UTStarcom in 2003.
Earlier in his career, as a Principal Investigator at Bell Labs Research, he worked on VLSI CAD systems and contributed to several pioneering VLSI devices, including the first Single-Chip Color CMOS Video Camera, a Multi-Processor DSP, and a Traffic-Classification Engine.
Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. in VLSI CAD from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
