Hui DENG obtained his doctor degree from dept. computer science and technology at Tsinghua University in 2002. From 2002 to 2007, he was the Chief Researcher in Hitachi. He joined China Mobile Research in 2007 and acted as CTO of the network department. By that time, he was the co-chair of IETF MIF working group, representing the board of directors of WBA (Wireless Broadband Alliance) and OPNFV, also 1st board of chairman of OPEN-O which later evolved into ONAP. Hui DENG joined Huawei in 2016, and is serving as the Chief of Standard for 5GC/IMS/NFV/MEC. He has been elected as the Vice Chair of ETSI NFV ISG in 2019.
