Cem Celebiler obtained his Bachelors and Master’s degrees from MIT in EECS and Mathematics. After briefly working at Tech consultancy Sapient, in 1996 he founded Turknet, Turkey’s largest pure fixed / fiber broadband AltNet provider. With his MIT background, Cem introduced a tech company and digital disruptor approach to the Turkish fixed broadband sector: Direct-to-Consumer fully digital and transparent model, no commitments, simplicity (single offer), highest bandwidth (symmetric where possible), rapid growth, and customer centric company culture. Cem has been president of the Turkish ISP Association (TISSAD), Board member at the Turkish Alternative Operator’s Association (Telkoder) and is board member at European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA).
