Carlos Oba, Founder and CEO of Dots for Inc., has extensive experience in new business development and management across Africa, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, the United States, and other regions, working with both large corporations and startups. Prior to founding Dots for Inc., Carlos made a pivotal discovery in Tanzania: while African villagers were vibrant and content in their communities, they remained impoverished due to a lack of opportunities and information—a gap they could not bridge on their own. He believes that telecommunications and digitalization are key to addressing the significant challenges faced by these villagers. Dots for Inc. is actively closing this gap by creating a "Digital Shopping Mall" across more than 200 rural villages in Benin and Senegal, in partnership with several major Japanese companies. He holds an MBA from the University of California, San Diego, and is an avid backpacker who has traveled to nearly 100 countries.
