Core Transport Network Planning at Turkcell

Baris joined Turkcell group in 2008.

He had been lead responsible on design and building of Turkcell’s optical transmission network from scratch which’s now covering over 30.000 km’s and transmitting 192+ Tbps of traffic.

He took role in the Network Architecture team prior to 4G, focusing on IP and transport convergence models.

He is currently working in the Core Transport Network group as a senior engineer.

Before joining Turkcell, Baris worked for Alcatel-Lucent with different responsibilities; optical systems sales manager, pre-sales expert, DCN planning and microwave radio systems support professional along 10 years.

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Electronics & Communication Engineering faculty in 1996.
