William Wedge

William is a Principal Technology Advisor in the Network Infrastructure & Resilience team at Ofcom, the UK communications regulator. Before joining Ofcom last year, William spent 20 years of his career architecting and building networks and services working for BT, EE, Orange, and Lucent Technologies. He was heavily involved in designing 5G, 4G, mission critical services, IMS (Voice over LTE, WiFi, and Broadband). He owned interconnect design for 4G & 5G roaming and the many variations of MVNOs. In Orange UK, William had design responsibility for IP/MPLS networks, fixed-line broadband, and internet peering infrastructure. He has been involved in Broadband Forum, GSMA, 3GPP, and MEF.
