Sokratis Barmpounaki

Senior Electrical and Computer Engineer, with a PhD in the area 5G networks and more than 10 years of experience in research, design, development, technical and project management. Focusing is in the area of sustainable and ML/AI-powered 5G and 6G networks, Dr. Barmpounakis has worked as a research engineer, technical manager, as well as project manager, and has contributed to key ICT domains, related Smart Cities, Industry 4.0, Robotics and Internet of Things.  Currently, he works for WINGS ICT Solutions, Athens, Greece, as a Senior Solutions Architect and Project Manager. During the last decade, he has been involved in/managed numerous ICT projects, including bilateral contracts with some of the largest ICT companies in the EU and beyond.  Last but not least, Dr. Barmpounakis has published his research in several prestigious journals and conferences, having more than 300 citations, while is he is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
