Mike Stacey

Mike Stacey is Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Imagine Communications Group where he is responsible for all aspects of the technical development and operations of the company’s wireless technology including 5G, TD-LTE Advanced, IP core, wireless and fibre transport networks as well as product and service platforms and network operations and support systems. Mike has over 30 years experience in the telecoms industry across fixed, mobile and media sectors in operator, vendor and consulting roles. Mike returned to Imagine in 2018 having spent several years in the Caribbean as Global Head of Technology Strategy for Digicel Group. Mike joined Irish Broadband as CTO in 2005 shortly after its start up and prior to its acquisition by Imagine in 2008. Prior to that Mike was CTO and Head of Technology Strategy for Vodafone Ireland. Mike previously held a variety of senior level technical and managerial positions with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, TeleWest (now Virgin Media), Nortel and STC in the UK.Mike has a BSc. Eng. From the Dublin Institute of Technology and an MSc inTelecommunications Technology from Aston University in Birmingham.
