James Fredrickson

James Fredrickson became Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Hyperoptic in early 2022, bringing unparalleled experience in understanding and navigating the UK’s alt-net industry. He previously spent four years supporting rural alt-net Gigaclear, and five years prior to that at Vodafone within its regulatory division. With a depth of knowledge across the telecom landscape, as well as experience representing two of the UK’s largest and well-established alt-nets, James is one of the UK’s leading figures in addressing the challenges of accelerating full fibre rollout. At Hyperoptic, James leads the policy and regulatory affairs function, and provides strategic council to the executive leadership team on enhancing relations with Ofcom and central government.
