Floris van den Broek
Floris van den Broek is CEO of Open Dutch Fiber and has been working with the company since its founding in 2021. He headed several tech companies, including as CEO of GreenFlux, a software company in electric car charging systems that he grew and sold to the German mobility company DKV and as CEO of the Cyber security firm RedSocks Security, which he sold to Bitdefender in 2018. As board member of GlasLokaal foundation, he built an optical fibre network connecting 400 schools and non-profit organisations in the South-Holland area. In 2015 he founded Diemenglas, an optical fibre operator providing FTTH services in the city of Diemen (close to Amsterdam). Floris was also the founder and CEO of Openglas Networks, which provided Fiber to the Office services in business parks in the Netherlands and was sold to Deltafiber in 2019. He worked in IT/Telecom his entire career, including as Vice President and General Manager Telecom for Philips, heading the Telecom Set Top Box division. Before that, he founded the Netherlands/Nordics company of the fiber telecom company Level 3 Communications, for which he received the 'Telecom Manager of the year' award. He started his career at AT&T, leading international telecom subsidiaries from the HQ in New Jersey. He received his PhD in Computer Science at TU Delft and his Masters of business Administration at University of California, Berkeley. He was nominated Computable CEO of the year 2021.
