5G World
5G World

Now part of Network X, 5G World is the flagship event of the 5G Series: the only global event series bringing together the entire connectivity ecosystem, enabling the connected society.

This event has a 19 year heritage, with audiences travelling from across the globe to hear from innovative operators, leading solution providers, disruptive new players and many more, who provide inspiration and innovation on how to successfully roll out 5G networks and monetise new use cases.

5G World

Why should you attend 5G World at Network X?

Over three years since the earliest commercial 5G deployments, most would agree that we are still a significant distance from the point at which the full promise of 5G is fulfilled. Key enabling technologies are not yet fully mature, let alone widely deployed, and compelling consumer and business 5G services have yet to hit the market, with some exceptions. Service providers are formulating and re-formulating 5G tech and services strategies to ensure that they get their fair share of the services which the new generation of mobile networks will make possible.

Key Themes at 5G World

How inevitable is Open RAN, or will an integrated single-vendor stack still be compelling in the new environment? Will the evolution of the RIC make operators’ lives easier? How good is vRAN today?

Are providers prepared to tackle the challenge of the metaverse, as they explore how immersive apps interweave with 5G, WiFi, private networks and fixed services? What do consumers want and expect from 5G? How to win in the B2B world?

Discussing progress on 5G Advanced as well as debating how the industry should approach 6G, the regulatory framework required as well as what applications it will/should enable.

How can service providers provide a tailor fit network to solve mission critical operational technology issues for their B2B customers? What role is edge computing called to play and what ecosystem strategies will different providers follow?

With 5G being more energy consuming but also energy efficient, how will the imperative for service providers to green their networks square with the requirement to achieve 5G coverage and density and to enable the 5G Edge?

Will 5G SA and network slicing capabilities offer the opportunity to provide real application and customer segment-based differentiation? How can telcos achieve the full potential of 5G standalone with cloud-native core? Is API as a Service the next big thing for telcos?
